Four paintings sold in the past 24 hours. 3 off to Christchurch and 1 headed to Queenstown. I often wonder if I’m the only artist intrigued by her clients, wishing she could pop by to share a cuppa and a chat while seeing her creations displayed lovingly by their new admirers. If any of my clients happen to read this blog, thank you. I hope you’re enjoying your new pieces of art.
A great link was posted on the
NZAG forum. Why don’t you take a look
here? It’s worth it!
Everything I’ve ever done was out of fear of being mediocre.

I come accross a lot of great quotes but today this is the one that stood out to me. It sums me up quite nicely. I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing.
Move over Lady Gaga and make way for my upcoming exhibiton at:
Gallery ‘O’.
South Island members of the New Zealand Art Guild will be exhibiting at Gallery O, Christchurch, in September for the second year running.
“Perception; an Artists View of the World Around Them” will be showing from Tuesday September 15th to Monday 21st September, open 10am-5pm; 7 days.
Seventeen well known and emerging artists from all over the South Island will be combining their collective talents to produce a dynamic exhibition. The exhibition features well known artists from Invercargill, Kirwee, Windwhistle, Blenhiem, Nelson, Dunedin and Queenstown.
Rachael Inch, coordinator for the show says that this year, “the focus for the artists was not only to share their work with the world, but also to provide more affordable pieces for the general public. Art should be enjoyed by all, and that’s what this talented group of artists want to provide”.In addition to the outstanding larger pieces, there is also a special section in the exhibition where smaller works will be available for purchase; all priced under $100.
Participating members are:Pam Buffery, Tanya Dann, Ron Esplin of RonEsplin Art, Helen Hazeldine, Rachael Inch of Inspirationalart, Cheryl Irwin of CherylIrwinArts, Chavah Kinloch, Amy Mackiewicz, Janet Marshall, Susan McPhee, Anni Morris of Anni Morris Art, Steve O’Neil, Shelly Van Soest, Angus Watson of Gus Watson Art, and Jo Watson.
And because of that reason, I’m sellng my soul to the devil. Yikes that sounds creepy! What I mean is I have some extremely heavily discounted paintings for sale on Trade Me right now. Starting from $1!!! The photos don’t do them any justice, I hear this time and time again. Every painting is of gallery quality, so take a look and make a bid for some original artwork.
