Happy First of August! This means that the #PhotoADayJuly challenge is now officially over. I have to tell you, I’m glad I took up the challenge. It blows my mind that there are people all over the world that are taking a photo every single day for an entire year. Or how about this family that took photos of themselves every year for 30 years. I think I’m too lazy to even think that far ahead in time.
As far as the challenge goes, some days were easier than others. The days I had the car were more fun and creative.
There was a lot of time spent sick or exhausted in July and so the consequence was lack of motivation on my part but like anything in life, if you put a deadline on something it suddenly becomes important enough for you to make it a priority. I promised myself that every single day I’d have a shot up for everyone to see by midnight. It worked well keeping me accountable.
It was a great kick in the butt creatively too. It has definitely reignited a huge fire in my belly to FINALLY begin to implement the very beginning steps of a plan I’ve had for years and have written about here before. I’ll link to it if I can remember which post it was in. So, slowly but surely you will begin to see a few changes happening around here. Good changes. You’ll like them I promise. There’s only one of me and a lot of work to do so when I say slowly, I mean s l o w l y.
A big thank you to everyone who participated, shared, liked and commented during July. It was fun to get a chance to chat with you all about the different topics that each day brought up. I will continue to try and keep interesting shots coming. I might even take part in another month long challenge at a later date.
For those who missed the daily pics, *Sad face* where were you!? Never fear, you can see each and every photo featured in the above collage ^ over here on the Creating My Reality Facebook Page.

My artist cousin said to take lots of photos, because it shows you what you like and are interested in.
That’s really clever. If I were to go through my files it would seem I’m interested in old things, texture, strange people, buildings, trees & playing.
