Karen Walker Gumboots!
I discovered these through LeeAnn Yare and I can’t stop thinking about them. I’m not a big gumboot fan or anything but when you spend every Saturday morning in freezing cold temperatures on frosted over rugby fields you need to be sensible. Sensible doesn’t mean you can’t be stylish though! At $75 these green Karen Walker gumboots rock my world. The colour, the print, those skulls… wicked.
It is basically everything I would want in my kitchen and actually fits the description I gave my husband months ago on what I have planned to do to ours. This flip clocks are pricey but I’ll source one eventually.
Cute Gift Wrapping Ideas.
This idea uses string and two different washi tapes to create a bunting to wrap around the package. Fold small pieces of the washi tape over itself and trim the sides off to create triangles. Veeeeery simple but a gorgeous idea.
Sensory Activities for Kids
They call this Cloud Dough. To make it you use 8 cups of flour and 1 cup of baby oil. I haven’t made this yet but I will be doing this for my two year old, I’m sure the older kids will want to play too… and probably Mum and Dad. Apparently it feels like flour as you run your fingers through it, but it’s moldable! Fun right?
Sometimes time out alone feels like the greatest gift in the world. I don’t get it very often but it’s true. It does remind me how to be myself.
My new creations!
This particular candle holder is on hold for a client but there are others to choose from. I’m having a great time recreating old objects and giving them new life with a modern twist. I have a lot of creations in the works and I’m excited to say that I’ve already been approached by a few places and asked to bring my products along, so watch this space. It’s only the beginning and once I have everything sorted behind the scenes there will be so much more available.
