Courage, sacrifice, determination, commitment, toughness, heart, talent, guts. That’s what little girls are made of! The heck with sugar and spice.

I came across this quote a few months ago and have wanted to share it since then. Isn’t it great? It takes us women out of the ‘sweet’ box and shows that we’re just as intent on doing what we really want to do as any man out there.
I’m sorry for being so quiet last week. I had an awful week as far as rest goes. I spent the entire weekend sleeping and cleaning because I was barely able to function after five days of insomnia.
I don’t mind the lack of sleep, what bugs me is how badly it affects my ability to string sentences together. It renders me incapable of focusing and in turn my essential daily communication and work suffers. So all going well, this week we’re back to normal!
I’ve got some new businesses to introduce you to this week, by women who were once little girls but have grown to fit the exact description in the quote above. Well, maybe, like me, there’s still a bit of sugar and spice in them hehe. I look forward to sharing their details with you! I hope you’ll join me.
Catch you then

5 days of insomnia, oh my! I feel as women, we are able to do it all…with sugar & spice.
Sounds interesting! I know what you mean about sleep deprivation affecting your prose – I’m getting such disturbed nights and I miss it when I don’t blog. At least I can enjoy reading fab blogs like yours!
Love the quote above. My sister very much fits that bill – but there’s a bit of sugar and spice too. She worked on offshore research vessels in the North Sea for a while and was then assigned a geological research job managing Egyptian men in the desert! Tough stuff!
I look forward to reading your line up

Absolutely Mama, nothing wrong with a little sugar and spice, it’s what makes us women hehe.
Yes Sarah! I really love blogging so I get a bit irritated when I can’t pull it together.
Wow, your sister sounds amazing, maybe I should be interviewing her! Managing Egyptian men is no easy feat, I’ve known a few of their strong willed men hehehe. Kudos to her.
Terrific work! Great post, love the quote!
