I’ve been occupying one of these seats for the past week. The trial’s all over now so it’s back to the regular schedule which is a welcomed relief. It was an interesting and exhausting experience. I had to spend all weekend out and about with my family to get my sanity back, the last few days were intense.

On top of that, Christchurch in NZ was hit by the worst natural disaster we’ve experienced. An earthquake struck early afternoon lunch time on Tuesday the 22nd of February. Being stuck at court in a small room with people who’s families were missing was gut wrenching. I spent most of the past week, when I was home, on my couch glued to the television crying. It’s been a shocker of a week and sadly this is just the beginning for our Christchurch residents. Many of whom are now homeless or have lost so much, yet are still showing patience, love and generosity. People amaze me. The death toll is at 148 people right now, many more are still missing. We all feel sorrow for those lost and their families and friends. If you’d like to read more about the earthquake visit Stuff.co.nz there are many, many articles there. Monetary donations are welcomed, please use one of the official associations.
Tomorrow I’ll be back with a regular post…bittersweet. I just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and why it’d been quiet here lately. Take care everyone.
Thanks a bunch
