It’s all done! It’s looks fantastic and I really enjoyed myself chatting the night away with artists and art lovers alike. I managed to forget I had orange juice in my cup and spilt it all over the front of my dress at one stage but hey, I survived lol. I seriously enjoyed myself more than I expected to! I love it when that happens. Thank you to the people that turned up and socialised.
Special thanks to Tanya Dann, Marimba Powley, Philina Den Dulk, Kay Ward and Michelle Wallis – our local artists that all came out for the evening.
It’s been a great day in my world today and to top it off my daughter won her athletics races – smart, sporty, creative and beautiful – what more could you ask for? She was also racing the girls a year older than her. Go you good thing you!
I’m surrounded by fantastic people. Life is great.
Sorry, this post is a bit here, there and everywhere. I am exhausted.
Time to relax tomorrow. I will not do anything. Ok, maybe I’ll clean the house, it’s looking a bit worse for wear today. No one come over ok? Hehehe. Other than that though, time to just be a Mum. I’m looking forward to that. Until Blog Idol…oh my gosh.

I love my life.
We are SO close to having all our ducks in a row now. I’ve been doing all the behind the scenes work and now the flyer is complete. All I have to do now is print a gazillion of them, put them up around town and plan opening night. Woo hoo! That means I have to buy some wine. I don’t drink so I actually have no idea how to do that lol. Twitter here I come! I do know that you can get free wine glasses for the occasion through certain places though, so I’ll definitely be doing that.
Now…to plan some nibbles. How much can 10 bucks buy you? Just kidding…sort of lol.

Now I have to pray I get enough sleep to cope with the week. I can do it! Any suggestions to make the night a good one are welcome.
In 12 more days. Wow. I feel completely terrified.
What fun would life be if I let my fear conquer me though. I have no reason to be scared but I go through this every time I have to do something out of the norm. I get anxious and my heart races. I’ll be fine, I’ll talk myself through it, find my calm inner self , pray that somebody’s got my back and make sure I do every thing in my power to have a fantastic time. I’m grateful I have a husband that tells me there’s nothing to worry about and to just enjoy myself. This thing we call life is a crazy journey isn’t it?
My tickets are booked, my accommodation is booked now I just have to figure out what to take. I’ve got an 8ft rectangle made of masking tape taped up under the rug on my living room floor. It’s how I measure out the space I have to exhibit hehe. It always get’s my kids interested when they see a shape taped to the ground. “What’s this one for Mummy?”
I attended a Southland Art Society council meeting today. It was interesting. I’m about 20-45 years younger than pretty much all of the members so my point of view can be a little different to some of the others every now and again. We don’t argue though, I’m not into arguing. I learn a lot about different kiwi artists and the region I live in from the others and they learn a lot about what it’s like to deal with me lol.
For the artists taking part in the upcoming exhibition ‘New Zealand’s Got Talent’ they’re REALLY excited to see your work. I’m telling you, it’s going to be a good one.
Last but not least for today, I have a couple of articles to share. The first can be found here. Big thank you to Thread.co.nz for featuring me and my Bajidoo.com Bangles news. (Sending my best wishes to B who is at the moment in amongst all the glory that is business and networking right now, you’re a star!)
The second is from the newspaper today. I look terrible and I have no idea why they let an error get through the editing system but oh well. It is what it is! I’m grateful for the support.
