My Best Friends Wedding

by Chavah Kinloch on October 6, 2011

We all have those special people in our lives; who even though as time goes on and you go your separate ways, you always remember them as your close friend and will never forget the great moments they brought to your life. Well today’s post is about my childhood BFF. Her name is Anna and she recently got married. She shared the most amazing video of her wedding and I got a glimpse into her very special day. I asked her if it was ok to share the video and she said yes, so please get your tissues out and take a moment to watch the incredibly beautiful Anna, marry her best friend Vince. Congratulations to you both. Your smiles and the look in your eyes say everything. xxx

Last week I stumbled across this website called 12 Seconds. It lets you create and upload 12 second long videos with ease. Like really, it’s so simple to use it’s got me hooked.

So I had a thought today. I thought “Why don’t you revamp the way you do your These are my confessions posts!”

Brilliant.

I wanted to get into vlogging but don’t like seeing myself too much, I think I can handle 12 seconds though. So here’s what’s going to happen in the revamp.

I’m going to begin doing daily confessions on my 12Seconds page. I’m then going to take those videos and link them to my regular These Are My Confessions posts. I figure sometimes I might sound snarky through text (although no one’s told me that thankfully) so hopefully hearing it will help it come across as I intended.

Not all the confessions will be done through video, I’ll still have my regular lists.

Now for the fun part!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if you would join me! You don’t have to do it daily, you don’t even have to do it regularly but I’d love if you just gave it a go, even if only for a one off 12 seconds.

I would like to feature other peoples confessions in the regular These Are My Confessions posts.

Will you join me? Please say yes.

So here’s how you do it:

Sign up at 12 Seconds.

Follow me so I can follow you.

Record your videos!

I’ll go through my feed to pick up confessions and post them on my blog in my regular These Are My Confessions posts.

That is, of course, if you make a confession.

So come along, join me and spread the word. Can’t wait to ‘see’ you!

It’s Monday. Feeling a bit of Mondayitis? I’m always super tired come Monday. My weekends are busier than my weekdays! It’s not even like I party, ever. I just spend a lot of time with my kids, clean the house (again) and tie up loose ends. Exciting huh. Anyway, if you’re anything like me, music helps you perk up and get your A into G so I thought I’d share some of my favourite NZ tracks, seeing as we’re halfway through NZ music month. Enjoy!

Ok well that should more than keep you occupied!! I could honestly add a hundred more but youtube would probably hunt me down and fine me or something. I love NZ music, enjoy your taste of it.

I received an email late last night. I read it, watched the video, smiled and then welcomed in the new year in a great frame of mind.

Here is an excerpt from Davids email:

My actress in “Paper Birds” is wearing a vintage jacket from Paris, the skirt used to be a long vintage skirt from a flea market in Los Angeles but was cut to make it mini, the yellow tights were from a department store in Los Angeles, the shoes are from Paris.

The wardrobe was meant to reflect her whimsical and maybe even mythical personality and create a stark contrast with her environment.

The theme of the video is about the inspiration that can be found even in ordinary circumstances and that in giving back / sharing to the world – magic is created. A theme that is appropriate for the holiday season!

Thanks for sharing David.

So here we go. I suggest watching the video first, then reading the text above it to fully understand.
