winner

I entered a competition held by Spotlight and somehow I managed to be one of the winners! I was a bit slow on the uptake to learn that I had won something and when I did learn I had won, I actually had no idea what exactly it was that I’d won.

Fast forward to yesterday when I received a letter from Spotlight and I learned that I had won a $100 gift card! That was one of the #1 prizes! So happy, one of my kids rooms will soon have curtains so watch this space because you know there’ll be a blog update about that :D Thanks to whomever it was out there in the world that made this possible.

Glad that I stumbled across the email about the competition and after going back and forth in my head as to whether or not I should in my head decided to just go for it.

Here’s what I entered, Boston’s Comic Book Drawers:

I mentioned last week I was still working on a few projects. One of the projects I’ve got going on is a postcard exhibition in Moss, Norway. I decided I would send along a little pen, pencil and watercolour piece I created earlier in the year.

The exhibition is curated by David Sandum and all the artists have come together from Twitter! How fun is that?  Every postcard is for sale at 200kr/$35.00, Moss Public Library in Norway. So if I happen to have any Norwegian readers out there, maybe you can go along. I hear that Moss is known for it’s galleries and that it’s people love art. All proceeds will be donated to the Moss Public Library, who have recently had their fundings cut and were, until now, unable to purchase the children’s books they needed. I’m a big believer in instilling a passion in children for reading. Once that one ability is there, they can accomplish so much in the future because of it.
